Shankarapuram Police have registered an FIR against self-styled numerologist Aryavardhan Guruji over alleged objectionable remarks made in a video shared on a private social media platform.
According to the FIR,the complaint was filed by S.G. Suman Kumar,Founder-President of Karnataka Govu Rakshakara Sene,on July 3,2026.
The complainant alleged that Aryavardhan Guruji used obscene and derogatory language against women and made statements that insulted religious beliefs.
The complaint specifically alleges that Guruji made a controversial statement claiming that Goddess Mahalakshmi resides in the human anus and that it should be worshipped.
The complainant contended that the remarks were derogatory towards women,outraged their modesty through words,and were intended to insult religious sentiments and create communal disharmony.
Police initially registered the complaint in the station’s petition register (LPT No.74/2026),issued a notice to the complainant,obtained and verified the video,and sought a legal opinion before registering the FIR.An investigation into the case is underway.
