A chemical factory producing thinner gutted in an accidental fire broke out in Electronics City on Sunday evening.
Due to the chemical substances stored in the factory , the fire soon engulfed sending thick plumes of black smoke into the sky and triggering panic among nearby residents.
Since it was Sunday and closed holiday no injuries or casualties were reported.

According to Fire and Emergency Services officials,an alert about the blaze was received at 5.13 pm.
The fire was reported at Divya exports and imports chemical factory located near the Shell petrol station in Electronics City.
“Following the alert, four fire tenders were rushed to the spot to contain the blaze,”a fire department officer said.
Officials confirmed that no workers were present inside the factory when the fire broke out,preventing any loss of life or injuries.
Personnel from the Hebbagodi police station also reached the scene to assist firefighters and regulate the area as firefighting operations continued.
The fire and emergency service personnel along with police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
At the time of filing this report,efforts to bring the blaze under control were still underway.
Visuals of dense black smoke billowing from the factory circulated widely on social media.
The police have recorded the statement of the owner of the factory identified as Harinath for further investigation.
