Bengaluru: Motorist driving without helmet critically injured after tree branch falls on him in Rajajinagar;Incident captured on CCTV

A 52-year-old motorcyclist suffered critical head injuries after a dry tree branch fell on him while he was riding along Ram Mandir Road in Rajajinagar on Wednesday evening.The shocking incident was captured on CCTV.

The victim,identified as Satish,was on his way for finance collection work when a dry branch from a roadside tree suddenly broke off and struck him on the head.

The impact caused him to lose control of his two-wheeler and crash onto the road.

Local residents immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital.He was later shifted to Manipal Hospital, Yeshwanthpur,for advanced treatment.

Doctors performed emergency brain surgery and informed the family that the first 48 hours are critical. Satish is currently undergoing treatment in a Coma.

The incident has triggered outrage among local residents,who alleged negligence by the authorities.

They claimed that repeated complaints had been made about the dangerous condition of trees in the area,but no preventive action was taken by the concerned civic and forest authorities.

Residents have demanded an immediate inspection of roadside trees and the removal of dry and hazardous branches to prevent similar accidents in the future.
