Anakapalli – Newstoday, Achyutapuram: Chief Minister Chandrababu said that such a terrible accident happened due to the negligence of Essentia Company. Officials said that this incident would not have happened if proper precautions had been taken in management to prevent vapor cloud exploration. He reminded that the management of the industry did not follow the standard management practices. On Thursday, he inspected the Essentia Company where a fatal accident occurred at the Achyutapuram SEZ in Anakapalli district. They were shocked to see the severity of the accident. The CM reviewed with the higher officials, ministers and MLAs at the nearby Laurus company. Later he spoke to the media. All industries in the red category should take due care. Do an internal audit of your industries. From this platform, we are calling all the industrialists to take appropriate precautions. We will not harass in the name of inspection in industries. Factories, pollution control, industries, fire brigade and other enforcement departments will be brought under one umbrella. We will check with all of them as a team. We will put their reports online. We will give them some time to correct the errors. We will conduct an audit with other departments as a model to identify errors in the enforcement checks,’ he said.

If so many people die, won’t the owner come?
Chandrababu stated that it is known that there are conflicts in the ownership of Essentia industry. He said that a person named Yadagiri Reddy started the company and later Deccan Chemicals came as a partner.. Disputes arose between these two. He said that their effect is visible on this accident. He expressed his impatience that even though such a big accident happened today and so many people died, the owners of the company did not come and handed it over to the plant manager. ‘We have set up a high-level committee on this company. What has happened in the industry, what are the reasons and who is at fault will be revealed in the report. We will take strict action against them. We will examine whether the authorities have identified the errors in the past and made any suggestions… have tried to correct them or not. If there is a mistake by the officials, action will be taken against them’, he warned.
The dangers are due to the failure of the previous government
CM Chandrababu criticized that the failure of Vaikapa government is the reason for accidents in industries. He alleged that the previous government had undermined security in the industries and that the party leaders had threatened the owners and looted them. He blamed the Vaikapa government’s negligence for the accident at LG Polymers Company in Visakhapatnam in 2020. He recalled that after the incident, a high power committee was formed and two GOs were issued and investigations were carried out on the accidents in the industries, but no action was taken against those responsible. Chandrababu revealed that due to this, 119 accidents have occurred in industries in the state in the last five years and 120 people have died. They decided to correct all the errors that caused this.
