Chief Minister D.K.Shivakumar has directed officials to take strict measures to ensure complete transparency in the recruitment process for over 70,000 posts.
Chairing a high-level meeting at Vidhana Soudha on Friday to review preparations for upcoming recruitments, the CM addressed senior officials and district-level officers via video conference.
A Model for the Nation:
The Chief Minister stated that Karnataka has undertaken a massive task of filling over 70,000 vacancies and aims to set a national example for transparent recruitment.
He noted that Karnataka has a rich history of technological advancement and urged officials to use this expertise to conduct the process professionally.
Massive Scale of Exams:
The KPSC and KEA have already scheduled exams to fill 36,773 posts within the next six months,with approximately 35 lakh candidates expected to appear.
Comprehensive guidelines have been prepared, and the CM insisted they be followed strictly.He also suggested adopting best practices from the UPSC to further improve the system.
Accountability for Officials:
The CM emphasized that ensuring transparent exams at the district level is the direct responsibility of senior officers,including Deputy Commissioners (DC), Superintendents of Police (SP),and Education Department officials.
Key Security Measures:
*Every stage of the examination process must be video-recorded.
*Strict vigilance must be maintained to prevent educational institutions or managements from engaging in malpractice.
*No officials or staff members are allowed to carry mobile phones during the process.
*Police chiefs have been instructed to keep a close watch on all coaching centers.
Warning Against Negligence:
Warning officials of stern action,the CM stated that senior officers will be held directly accountable if any malpractice occurs.
He instructed senior leadership to review the arrangements made by KPSC and KEA to ensure professional execution.
The meeting was attended by Home Minister,Priyank Kharge,Chief Secretary,Shalini Rajneesh,and other senior advisors and top government officials.
