Amid allegations of illegal activities in Karnataka’s prisons,a video statement by rowdy-sheeter Suresh alias Sai Kumar,a native of Tumakuru,accusing officials of facilitating prostitution,mobile phone and liquor supplies inside Belagavi’s Hindalga Central Prison has gone viral on social media.
Suresh,who was recently arrested by police,has made several serious allegations against prison officials and demanded a high-level probe into the activities allegedly taking place inside the jail.

Among his key allegations is that prostitution is being carried out inside the prison premises with the alleged connivance of jail officials.He claimed that video evidence relating to the alleged activity is available with him.
He has also alleged that mobile phones and liquor are easily made available to inmates after money and bribes are allegedly paid to prison staff.
According to him, inmates can obtain mobile phones for communication and liquor inside the prison.
Suresh further alleged that officials are turning a blind eye to violations of prison rules because of alleged bribery,allowing various illegal activities to continue unchecked.
Criminal Background:
Suresh,who hails from Tumakuru,is allegedly a habitual offender.
Police records reportedly show more than 20 criminal cases against him across several districts,including cases relating to murder,attempt to murder,theft and other offences.
Police arrested him again on Wednesday.A video in which he makes the allegations surfaced publicly soon after his arrest.
The allegations have triggered demands for a comprehensive investigation into the functioning of Hindalga Central Prison,including the alleged supply of mobile phones and liquor and claims of illegal activities within the prison premises.
A thorough inquiry involving senior officials has been demanded to establish whether the allegations are genuine and to identify any prison personnel involved in facilitating illegal activities.
