Father-Daughter Duo arrested in Rs.5.3 Crore Government Job Scam

The CCB has arrested a woman and her father for allegedly cheating more than 40 job aspirants by falsely promising government jobs in various Central and State government departments.

According to the complaint registered on November 17, 2025, the accused allegedly claimed to have close contacts with senior government officials and political leaders and assured employment in departments such as Railways,Income Tax,Health, Social Welfare and other government agencies.

Investigators said the duo collected more than Rs.5.30 crore from job seekers,mostly from North Karnataka, and issued fake appointment letters.

They allegedly set up bogus training centres in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata and even paid stipends for four months to make the scheme appear genuine.

The accused were arrested on June 4 during the course of the investigation.Efforts are underway to trace and recover the cheated money and identify additional victims,a senior officer told reporters.
