PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Air Force Station Hindon brought laurels to the institution with an outstanding performance at the 55th Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Regional Sports Meet 2026. The competitions were organized under the Agra Region from May 5 to May 7, 2026, where students displayed exceptional discipline, dedication, confidence, and sportsmanship across various sporting events.
The school achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming Regional Champions in Cricket (Under-14 and Under-17 categories) as well as Boxing, winning gold medals and championship titles. The excellent coordination, determination, and team spirit of the players received widespread appreciation from spectators and sports enthusiasts.
In the cricket competition, the Under-14 and Under-17 boys’ teams of the school delivered impressive performances throughout the tournament and secured winner trophies along with gold medals. Similarly, the boxing team played a crucial role in helping the school emerge as the regional champion.
Gold medal winners included Abhijeet Sagar, Vaibhav Sagar, Ayush, and Pavika in Boxing; Avni Garg in Lawn Tennis; players of the Under-14 Taekwondo boys’ category; and the Under-14 and Under-17 boys’ Cricket teams.
Silver medal winners included Sarvika and Mohammad Adnan in Boxing; Kavya in Athletics (600-meter race); the Under-14 4×100 relay team; the Under-14 girls’ Taekwondo team; and the Under-14 boys’ Artistic Yoga team.
Bronze medal winners included Ekansh Pal and Abhay Panwar in Boxing; Nidhi in Athletics (800-meter and 1500-meter races); Ayush Kumar in Chess (Under-17 category); the Under-17 girls’ Taekwondo team; and the Under-17 girls’ Volleyball team.
Principal Shri Munna Lal congratulated all the winners, coaches, and support staff for their remarkable achievements. He stated that the success of the students reflects the school’s strong sporting culture, discipline, and continuous practice. He emphasized that sports help students develop confidence, leadership qualities, patience, and a positive attitude toward life.
He further added that the school has always encouraged students to excel not only in academics but also in sports and co-curricular activities. The achievements of the players are a matter of pride not only for the school but for the entire region. Overall, the school secured an impressive tally of 9 Gold Medals, 7 Silver Medals, and 8 Bronze Medals, marking a significant achievement at the regional level.
