Man Stabbed to Death by Friend Following Argument Over Family Insult in Bengaluru

A minor quarrel between two friends ended in a fatal stabbing after one allegedly insulted the other’s mother and sister in Bengaluru’s NIMHANS Layout under the jurisdiction of the Suddaguntepalya Police Station.

The deceased has been identified as Wasim, a resident of NIMHANS Layout. Police have arrested the accused, Syed, and taken him into custody for questioning.

According to police,Wasim and Syed were close friends. The incident occurred after Wasim allegedly used abusive language against Syed’s mother and sister, leading to a heated argument between the two.

Enraged by the remarks,Syed allegedly assaulted Wasim. During the altercation,both men reportedly exchanged blows. The quarrel soon escalated,and Syed allegedly stabbed Wasim multiple times with a knife.

Despite the attack,Syed himself reportedly rushed the injured Wasim to a nearby hospital for treatment.

However,Wasim succumbed to his injuries despite medical efforts.

On receiving information about the incident, Suddaguntepalya police rushed to the spot,conducted an inspection,and registered a case.The accused was arrested shortly thereafter.

Police have launched a detailed investigation to ascertain the exact sequence of events leading to the murder.
