Three undertrials booked for allegedly creating ruckus and obstructing security personnel during routine frisking procedure after returning from hospital visits

The prison staff of the Central Prison in Parappana Agrahara have lodged a complaint against three undertrials booked for terror charges for allegedly obstructing security personnel during routine frisking procedures after returning from hospital visits.

According to the complaint filed by prison superintendent Karna B Kshtri through staff member Shivu L.S.Tippeswamy,undertrial prisoners are frequently taken outside the prison premises for medical treatment and court appearances.

After returning to the prison, they are subjected to mandatory security checks by K.S.I.S.F personnel before re-entering the jail premises.

The complaint stated that on May 16,around 10 am, a few undertrial prisoners were taken to a hospital for treatment.

After returning to the prison around 2.30 pm,the accused — identified as Farioz Pasha,Muzamil Sharif,and Mohaboob Pasha allegedly refused to cooperate with frisking procedures and created obstruction during the inspection process.

Police said the prisoners allegedly hindered the duties of K.S.I.S.F personnel,including Assistant Sub-Inspector Ramesh Gowda Patil,Madhusudhan,Chethan Kumar, Shwetha B.R,and Ravi B.R),who were on duty at the checking section.

Despite resistance,the prisoners were later subjected to security checks after three hours and allowed inside the prison around 5.15 pm.

Based on the complaint,a case has been registered and further legal action has been initiated against the accused prisoners.

The prison department is contemplating aleternative measures for the inmates to avoid escorting them out for routine medical checks ups and court hearings.
