The HAL Police have registered a case after a 23-year-old electrician was allegedly robbed by a group of unidentified men near the Doddanekkundi railway underpass in east Bengaluru.
According to the complaint filed by victim an electrician employed at Bagmane Tech Park was retuning home from work .
The incident occurred at around 7.10 pm. on July 25 when he was riding his bicycle near the Doddanekkundi railway underpass.
A group of four to five unidentified men intercepted him, forcibly snatched his bicycle and ₹2,500 in cash,and also used his mobile phone to transfer ₹200 through PhonePe from his account before fleeing the spot.
The victim immediately alerted the police by calling the 112 Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) helpline.He later approached HAL Police Station and lodged a formal complaint.
Based on the complaint,HAL Police have registered an FIR and launched an investigation to identify and trace the accused.
Police are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area and other electronic evidence to track down the suspects.
