JDS leader Gottigere Manju was arrested by the Hulimavu police on Monday in connection with an alleged attempt to assault a traffic police personnel in Bengaluru.
Manju was arrested from a private hotel following a complaint by Hulimavu Traffic Police personnel. He is accused of attempting to assault traffic police staffer Arun during an altercation.
A video purportedly showing Manju arguing with the traffic police personnel has also been circulating on social media.
Following the incident,the traffic police personnel filed a complaint at the Hulimavu police station,based on which a case was registered against Manju.Police subsequently traced and arrested him from a private hotel.Further investigation is underway.
