The prompt response of the Namma 112 Emergency Response System and a Hoysala patrol team helped save the life of a woman who allegedly attempted suicide by consuming tablets near the TMC Office on Saturday evening.
According to the police,at 5.36 pm on July 19,a passerby alerted the Namma 112 Emergency Helpline,reporting that a woman was attempting to end her life by consuming tablets due to alleged family-related issues.
The incident occurred near the TMC Office in the jurisdiction of the Vidhana Soudha Police Station.
The emergency control room immediately alerted Hoysala-43 attached to the Commercial Street Police Station. Assistant Sub-Inspector Umapathi J,and Head Constable,Dundappa T,who were on patrol duty,rushed to the spot and reached within six minutes.
Realising that the woman required urgent medical attention,the police personnel immediately shifted her in an autorickshaw to the nearest hospital,where she received timely treatment.
Doctors later confirmed that the woman was out of danger.
After ensuring her condition had stabilised,the Hoysala team handed her over to the Vidhana Soudha police for further legal formalities and follow-up action.
Senior officer said the incident highlights the swift response of the Namma 112 Emergency Response System and the Hoysala patrol,whose timely intervention helped save a life.
The action has also reinforced public confidence in Bengaluru City Police’s emergency response mechanism.
