With motorcycle thefts on the rise in the city,the Begur Police have launched a public awareness initiative urging vehicle owners to install digital or smart security locks to better protect their two-wheelers.
The awareness campaign is being carried out under the guidance of Electronic City Division,DCP M. Narayana, IPS,with Begur Police Inspector,Sandeep educating the public on the importance of using digital locking systems as an additional layer of security.
Police have appealed to citizens to partner with the department in curbing bike thefts by equipping their motorcycles with digital locks.
According to the advisory,such smart security devices are readily available through major e-commerce platforms and retail markets.
Police reminded vehicle owners that taking preventive measures can significantly reduce the risk of theft, urging them to remain vigilant and adopt enhanced security measures to safeguard their vehicles.
