Man stabbed to death in a drunken brawl over minor dispute two arrested by Puttenahalli police

A 25-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death with a broken beer bottle outside a bar near Jarganahalli on Kanakapura Road late on Monday night following a minor dispute that reportedly began over an alleged staring incident inside the establishment.

The deceased has been identified as Uday Kumar (25).

Senior police officer,said the incident occurred at around 11.30 pm.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Uday Kumar got into an argument with two men,identified as Cheluva and Teja,a daily wage labourer after they allegedly accused him of staring at them inside the bar.

He further said the accused were not previously known to the victim.

After the altercation,Uday Kumar left the bar and began walking away.

However, the two men allegedly followed him outside, where the argument escalated into a violent assault.

During the attack,the accused allegedly assaulted Uday Kumar with a broken beer bottle.

Despite being critically injured,Uday Kumar managed to walk a short distance before collapsing on the road.He succumbed to his injuries shortly afterwards.

Based on the information,the Puttenahalli police
shifted the body for a post-mortem examination.
Police have registered a case of murder and arrested both accused.
