FIR Registered Against Staff Over Alleged Child Abuse
An FIR has been registered against the in-charge and several caregivers of a crèche operating inside the Capgemini Technology Services India campus in HAL, Bengaluru,over allegations of physical abuse and cruelty towards children.

The case was registered at the HAL Police Station under Section 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act, based on a complaint filed by Tilakesh Kumar.
According to the complaint,the alleged incidents took place on June 25 at the “Little Buds Day Care”facility located within the Capgemini campus at Brookefield.
The complainant alleged that the crèche staff, including the in-charge and caregivers identified as Manjula, Vijayalakshmi,Bhavana,Sandhya and another employee, subjected children to physical and mental abuse.
The complaint alleges that children who cried or created a disturbance were beaten,dragged,forcefully handled, confined inside a washroom,had water poured on them, and were otherwise subjected to physical assault.
It also states that videos showing children crying were circulated on WhatsApp,bringing the alleged abuse to light.
Following the complaint,HAL Police registered an FIR against the crèche in-charge and the caregivers under the relevant provisions of the BNS and the Juvenile Justice Act.
DCP, Whitefield Division,said the case is under investigation,with the HAL Police Inspector leading the probe.
Police are verifying the allegations,examining the videos, and recording statements of those concerned.
