President Lee Congratulates PM Modi on 25 Years;Modi Reaffirms India-ROK Strategic Partnership

New Delhi:President Lee Jae-myung of the Republic of Korea has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 25 years since he first took office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat,highlighting India’s development and the growing cooperation between India and the Republic of Korea.
In a message posted on X,President Lee said that since taking office as Gujarat Chief Minister 25 years ago, Prime Minister Modi had dedicated himself to“building a better life for the people of India.”
“I pay my deepest respect to your unwavering dedication and extend my heartfelt congratulations on this milestone,”President Lee said.
Referring to India’s development under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership,the South Korean President said India had made“steady strides through manufacturing growth and infrastructure development”and had demonstrated resilience in the face of various challenges.
President Lee said such achievements were“a source of pride for the Indian people”and provided“a foundation for expanding India’s global role.”
Highlighting bilateral relations,President Lee described the Republic of Korea and India as“Special Strategic Partners”and said the two countries were“shaping a future of growth and innovation together.”
He further said that South Korea would continue to support “the aspirations and growth of businesses and young people in both countries,”while working to bring to fruition the shared vision set out in New Delhi in April.
President Lee also expressed his anticipation of meeting Prime Minister Modi again in Seoul and conveyed his wishes for the Prime Minister’s good health,while extending“to the people of India the deep friendship of the people of the Republic of Korea.”
Responding to President Lee’s message,Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked the South Korean President for his“warm message”and recalled President Lee’s visit to India in April.
“Thank you President Lee Jae-myung for your warm message,”Prime Minister Modi said in his reply posted on X.
“I fondly recall your visit to India in April,which gave fresh momentum to our Special Strategic Partnership,”he said.
Prime Minister Modi further expressed confidence that the two countries would continue to strengthen their bilateral engagement.
“I am confident that together we will deepen our multifaceted cooperation and advance our shared vision for global peace, stability and prosperity,”Prime Minister Modi said.
