The family of actor Darshan Thoogudeepa has issued a clarification after reports circulated claiming that his son,Vineesh,was driving a car involved in an accident in Bengaluru’s Rajarajeshwari Nagar.
According to the clarification issued by Vineesh’s mother,Vijayalakshmi,the reports are false.
She said Vineesh was not driving the vehicle at the time of the incident.As on other occasions,the family’s driver was behind the wheel.
The incident involved a Ford Endeavour(KA-01-MU-9969) and a two-wheeler.It was described as a minor road accident, a common occurrence in Bengaluru traffic.
Vijayalakshmi also dismissed reports claiming that Vineesh was injured and admitted to hospital,stating that he is safe,healthy,and at home.
She further said the two-wheeler rider admitted the mistake at the spot and apologised.
Vineesh had stepped out of the vehicle only to check on the safety of those on the bike.
Expressing concern over the circulation of edited videos and misleading reports Vijayalakshmi appealed to the media and the public to verify facts before sharing information.
She said the family is already going through a difficult phase and requested responsible reporting to avoid causing further distress.
