Metro services on the Purple Line witnessed temporary disruptions on Thursday after a technical issue prevented the doors of a train from closing properly at Cubbon Park Metro Station.
According to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), commuters on the affected train were safely deboarded at the station as a precautionary safety measure.
The evacuation process took around 17 minutes, leading to delays in the operation of five subsequent train services on the corridor.

BMRCL said its Operations and Maintenance teams promptly attended to the issue and rectified the fault. Following the repairs, normal train services on the Purple Line were fully restored.
The corporation expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers and thanked commuters for their patience, understanding and cooperation during the disruption.
No injuries or safety incidents were reported during the episode,officials said.
