Notorious Rowdy-sheeter arrested by CCB for violating court warrants

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested a notorious rowdy-sheeter who had been absconding despite repeated court summons and warrant orders.

The accused has been identified as Shakib alias Syed Aqib Pasha (30), a rowdy-sheeter of the Vidyaranyapura police station limits.

Acting on credible information,CCB officers traced and apprehended Shakib near a private establishment in Allalasandra,Yelahanka.He was subsequently brought to the CCB office for detailed interrogation.

Senior officer said Shakib,a resident of Mubarak Road near Hunasemarana Halli in J.J.Nagar,has a long criminal history.

Verification of records revealed that more than 11 criminal cases have been registered against him in Bengaluru and other states.

Investigators found that in at least three cases,Shakib had failed to appear before the court on scheduled hearing dates despite receiving summons.

Consequently, the courts had issued non-bailable warrants and proclamation orders against him.

Following the issuance of the warrants and his continued absence,a separate case had been registered against him by the Soladevanahalli police for evading legal proceedings.

Police have initiated further legal action and are producing the accused before the court.
