School teacher and bike rider killed in two separate road accidents in Bengaluru

Two separate road accidents reported in Bengaluru claimed the lives of school teacher and a scooter rider, while two others sustained injuries.

Teacher Falls from Rapido Scooter,Dies :

A 54-year-old school teacher died after falling from a Rapido scooter in J.P.Nagar on Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Radha (54),a resident of Arekere and a teacher at Delhi Public School.

The Rapido rider,a young woman,sustained minor injuries and is out of danger.

Senior officer told reporters,Radha had booked a Rapido scooter to travel from Nagarbhavi to her residence in Arekere.

At around 8 pm,while passing near Nandini Junction on the 24th Main Road in J.P. Nagar,she reportedly lost balance and fell from the moving scooter,suffering fatal injuries.

J.P. Nagar Traffic Police rushed to the spot,conducted an inspection, and registered a case.Further investigation is underway.

Scooter Rider Killed After Garbage Lorry Collision :

In another incident,a 34-year-old scooter rider was killed and his pillion rider injured after a BBMP garbage lorry allegedly hit their two-wheeler near Sirsi Circle in Chickpet on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Satish (34)of Goripalya, while the injured pillion rider,Praveen,is undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital and is said to be out of danger.

Police said Satish was riding a Honda Activa scooter with Praveen as pillion and was on his way to work near the BBMP office around 9.40 am.

As they approached Sirsi Circle, a speeding BBMP garbage lorry allegedly rammed into the scooter.

The impact threw both riders onto the road.Satish reportedly came under the wheels of the lorry and died on the spot,while Praveen sustained injuries.

Chamarajpet Traffic Police visited the scene,registered a case, and detained the lorry driver for questioning. Further investigation is in progress.
