The City Police Arrested Four Persons for Selling Prohibited Narcotic Substances in Marathahalli, Bommanahalli,Pulakeshinagar,and Bharathinagar Police Limits.
Seizure of Drugs and a Car Worth Rs.7.47 Lakh (Market Value Rs.14.94 Lakh)
Based on credible information received from informants on various dates,police officers and staff learned that prohibited narcotic substances such as ganja (cannabis),MDMA, methamphetamine,and codeine cough syrup were being sold within the jurisdictions of Marathahalli,Bommanahalli,Pulakeshinagar,and Bharathinagar Police Station limits.
Acting on this information,cases were registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act,and raids were conducted at the locations identified by the informants.
During these operations,a total of four persons were apprehended on different dates,including three individuals from other states and one local resident.
During interrogation,the accused reportedly confessed that, with the intention of making quick profits,they had been purchasing prohibited narcotic substances such as ganja, MDMA,Methamphetamine,and codeine cough syrup at lower prices from unidentified suppliers from both outside the state and within the locality.
They then sold these substances at higher prices to members of the public and college students.
The police seized the following items from their possession:10.2 kg ganja,20 gms MDMA,10.03 gms methamphetamine,2.5 kg codeine cough syrup,01 car used in the offence.
The total value of the seized property is estimated at Rs. 7.47 Lakhs while the market value is approximately Rs. 14.94 lakh.
Efforts are continuing to identify and trace the unidentified local and interstate suppliers who provided the narcotic substances to the accused.
The investigation in these cases is ongoing.The four accused were produced before the competent court on different dates,and the court remanded all four to judicial custody.
The operations were carried out under the guidance of the DCP Whitefield,East,and South-East Divisions, namely,Saidulla Adawath,IPS,Dr.Vikram Amate,IPS,and Mohammed Sujeeth,IPS.
The raids and investigations were led by the Assistant Commissioners of Police of the Marathahalli, Pulakeshinagar,and Mico Layout Sub-Divisions,along with teams of Police Inspectors and other officers and staff from the Marathahalli,Bommanahalli, Pulakeshinagar,and Bharathinagar Police Stations.who successfully solved the cases and arrested the accused.
