Miscreants sets two cars ablaze in Malleswaram near metro pillar probe on

The Malleshwaram police have stepped up the probe and analyzing CCTV footage to identify the miscreants allegedly set fire to two parked cars near Metro pillars on R.P.Road in Malleswaram,causing property damage worth several lakh rupees.on Friday night .

The complaint was lodged by Head Constable Mahantesh Matad,who was on night patrol duty in Beat No.1 under the Malleswaram Police Station limits.

At around 11.40 pm on June 4,police received information that vehicles parked near Metro Pillars 167 and 168 in M.D.Block, R.P. Road,were engulfed in flames.

A police team rushed to the spot and found two cars burning.The Fire and Emergency Services Department was immediately alerted, and firefighters successfully doused the blaze.

During the inspection, a (Toyota Corolla bearing registration number MH-04-CJ-6591 )was found completely gutted in the fire.

An Indica car ( bearing registration number KA-53-B-2421) parked adjacent also sustained extensive damage.

Preliminary estimates place the total loss at around Rs.3 lakh to Rs.4 lakh.

Investigators suspect that unidentified persons deliberately set the vehicles on fire before fleeing the scene.

Based on the complaint,Malleswaram Police have registered a criminal case and launched a probe.

CCTV footage from nearby establishments and Metro infrastructure is being examined to identify the culprits and establish the sequence of events leading to the incident. Further investigation is in progress.
