Chief Minister D K Shivakumar today said he would speak to Ramalinga Reddy about his resignation.
“Ramalinga Reddy is an important leader and very dear to me, and I will speak with him.Ramalinga Reddy is not from a rural area.
He has been given the Water Resources Ministry,but he wishes to work in the urban region,”he said while speaking to reporters here.
When asked about some workers/party activists also resigning,he said,”Whatever the situation,discipline is very important.”

After visiting the temple of Annamma Devi,the guardian deity of Bengaluru city,he responded to the media:
“Annamma Devi is the village deity of Bengaluru.The deity of the land/state is Mother Chamundi.I have prayed for good rains,good crops,prosperity,and peace in the state, and I have begun my work.”R
