Residents are being urged to exercise caution against a man identified as Binu John Daniel,a native of Vyttila, Ernakulam,who is facing multiple criminal cases.
According to police records,he previously served a six-month jail term for offences including capturing obscene videos of women without consent.
He has also allegedly cheated several individuals by falsely promising them jobs in organisations such as Milma and the Railways.
Authorities now warn that Daniel is currently targeting people by offering fake “doctorship” credentials and is reportedly running a fraudulent “consumer forum”to lure victims.
Police have appealed to the public that anyone who has lost money or been approached by him should immediately lodge a complaint at the nearest police station.
