Former minister,HM Revanna who is Karnataka CM’s close aide has been accused of assaulting woman party worker and hurling casteist abuses over a trivial row at Kumarakrupa guest house on Monday.
Based on the complaint by Nandini Nagaraj the High Grounds police station has registered a non cognizable report for further investigation .
Nandini alleged that Revanna hurled casteist abuses at her and assaulted her when she went to talk to him.The police issued a notice to the complainant to provide proof for her allegations.
The victim also shared with the police and also shared the video on social media where Revanna was seen pushing the mobile phone while the video was recorded.
Meanwhile,Nandini approached the State Women’s Commission and lodged a complaint.
Commission Chairperson,Dr.Nagalakshmi choudhary, said that she has asked the police to probe the incident in detail and submit a report to ascertain the facts.
