41-year-old businessman and two of his friends were beaten up by a group of five youth alleging harassment on brigade road footpath of Friday night .
The victim Lingaraju A and his friend Naveen and Satyanarayana were walking on the footpath after visiting a restaurant when his friend Naveen accidentally confronted a girl walking in the opposite directions.
Soon a group of youth following the girl mistaken as harassment,attacked and assaulted them with beer bottle and kicks and punched and left the scene with a stern warning.
Lingaraju and friends sustained injuries on the head and other parts of the body went to the police station and filed a complaint .
The police have registered a case against the accused charging them under intentional insult to provoke breach of peace,assault and criminal intimidation for further investigation.
