Tenders again for 44,195 Jaljeevan Mission works

‘The Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) is an example of how the state has suffered due to the incompetence of the YSRCP government. It has been decided to complete 33,717 projects that are in various stages within the stipulated time. As part of this, the Pulivendula, Don and Uddanam drinking water projects will be completed. All other works that are in disarray should be reviewed and these projects should be redesigned.

The Cabinet has decided. As part of the JJM revival, it has cancelled 5 MVS works undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs. 7,910 crore and allowed tenders to be called with new designs. It has also approved proposals to grant permission for the preparation of DPRs through selected agencies and extend the deadline for completion of all JJM works by 6 months,’ the Minister revealed.
