The Energy department will carry out door-to-door verification process for all beneficiaries of the state government’s flagship’Gruha Jyothi Yojane’ (GJY) from July 1st.
The Gruha Jyothi Scheme,which was launched in July 2023,is undergoing a verification process.
ESCOMs meter readers and ESCOM staff will visit consumers’ homes to check records and collect the informations of the beneficiaries.This process will be completed on-site using a mobile application and a declaration form.
Documents Required for Verification:
The Energy department has requested all beneficiaries to keep the following documents ready to show the visiting staff:
Aadhaar Card (For verification only),Pass port size photo of the beneficiaries,Voter ID Card,PAN Card,Tenancy / Rental Agreements (wherever applicable),Ration Card and Caste Certificate
Since an on-site check by the meter reader is the only way to complete this verification process,Energy department has requested all consumers and beneficiaries to extend their full cooperation to the visiting staff to ensure a smooth and quick update.
Verification drive will be commenced in all five ESCOMs jurisdictions.BESCOM,MESCOM,HESCOM,GESCOM AND CESC.
