CCB police arrested Seven including a woman for allegedly conspiring to murder history sheeter as part of revenge plot

The Central Crime Branch (CCB),Bengaluru City,has arrested seven persons, including a woman, for allegedly conspiring to murder a history-sheeter as part of a revenge plot.

The operation was carried out by the Organized Crime Wing (West Division) under the leadership of Inspector Mahadevaiah S.

Senior officer told reporters that the accused had allegedly hatched a conspiracy to eliminate rowdy-sheeter Jowhar Abbas to avenge the murder of the woman’s husband,Hyder,who was also a known rowdy.

Investigators said the woman Sabrina Taj,and her brother-in-law,Shakeel Shabbir had allegedly arranged a “supari”(contract killing) by offering money to a gang to execute the murder.

The CCB stated that the conspiracy was uncovered following the collection of intelligence regarding criminal activities in the Ashok Nagar police station limits.

Police learnt that the accused had allegedly procured illegal weapons and formed a gang to carry out the attack.

Surveillance revealed that the intended target frequently travelled through Ashok Nagar,Koramangala and nearby areas in cars,prompting the accused to plan the attack at a suitable opportunity.

Further probe Sabrina Taj has also had planned to take over his area of operation after avenging the death of her husband .

Acting on credible information,the Organized Crime Wing conducted a special operation and apprehended the accused before the alleged murder could be carried out. Several suspects,including Sajjad,Nadeem,Nishanth, Vinod,Suman,Prem,Sonu and Shivaprasad were allegedly involved in the conspiracy.

The case has been registered under the provisions of the attempt to murder and armed act.Police said further investigation is underway to ascertain the full extent of the conspiracy and identify any additional persons involved.

Officials stated that the timely intervention by the CCB prevented a possible gangland murder and disrupted the activities of an organized criminal network operating in the city.
