Panic gripped passers-by fir sometime after a minor fire broke out near the emergency exit area of Nagasandra Metro Station on Sunday afternoon.
According to a statement issued by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited,the incident occurred at around 1.30 pm and involved a signboard located near the station’s emergency exit.
Metro operations and fire response teams rushed to the spot and swiftly extinguished the fire.Officials said the situation was brought under control immediately.
BMRCL clarified that there were no injuries or any other untoward incidents.
Metro train services remained unaffected and continued to operate normally throughout the incident.
The officials along with the technical teams probing to ascertain cause of fire .
The corporation appealed to the public not to panic, adding that further updates, if required, would be shared later.
