A 26-year-old man has succumbed to his injuries after being allegedly assaulted by his neighbour over a petty dispute near JJ Nagar,officials said on Sunday.
The deceased is Mubarak,an autorickshaw driver.
Senior officer told reporters that,on Friday at around 10 am,Mubarak and Tabrez began quarrelling over a missing seat in the former’s autorickshaw.
The arguments escalated and in the heat of the moment, Tabrez caught hold of a wooden reap and hit Mubarak’s head.
Mubarak collapsed and was taken to the hospital.He succumbed on Saturday after failing to respond to treatments.
JJ Nagar Police registered a case under BNS Section 103 (murder) and arrested Tabrez.Further probe is underway.
