In a major Anti-Narcotics crackdown,the Bengaluru City Police has arrested 16 accused and seized drugs worth Rs.36.67 crore across multiple coordinated operations in the city.
The operation led by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) along with teams from East and West zone police stations,targeted an organised network involved in trafficking and distribution of narcotic substances.
The arrested include four foreign nationals,eight inter-state operatives and four local accused,indicating a wider interstate and international drug syndicate.
Police seized a large quantity of contraband including 9.064 kg of MDMA,5.195 kg of hydro ganja,19,755 LSD strips,156 grams of heroin,618 grams of charas,332 grams of cocaine,315 grams of drug-laced gummies and 11.47 kg of ganja.

Officials said the accused sourced drugs from foreign and inter-state networks at lower prices and supplied them in Bengaluru,particularly targeting college students and young consumers.
The cases have been registered under the NDPS Act, and all 16 accused have been produced before court and remanded to judicial custody.
The coordinated raids were carried out in multiple locations including Bagalur,Adugodi,Chikkajala,HSR Layout,Yeshwanthpur,Jalahalli and Jnanabharathi police station limits.
Police said further investigation is underway to trace the larger network,including international links and suppliers, and to identify additional suspects involved in the drug trafficking racket.
