In another alarming case of road rage in Bengaluru,a cab driver allegedly dragged a motorist on the bonnet of his car for nearly one kilometre after an argument over rash driving before abandoning the vehicle and fleeing the scene.
The incident occurred in Chowdeshwari Nagar,where the accused,identified as Ananth,was allegedly driving his cab in a rash and reckless manner.
A motorist,identified as Manjunath,stopped the cab and questioned the driver’s dangerous behaviour,leading to a heated argument.
Following the argument,Manjunath informed the Police Control Room about the incident.
Enraged by the complaint,Ananth allegedly drove his car towards Manjunath,who got trapped on the bonnet of the moving vehicle.
Despite the victim clinging to the bonnet,the accused allegedly continued driving for nearly one kilometre, endangering Manjunath’s life.
Local residents who witnessed the incident chased the vehicle, intercepted it and brought it to a halt,preventing further harm.
However,before police arrived,the accused allegedly abandoned the car and fled from the spot.
The Rajajinagar traffic police have seized the car and the Nandini layout police have launched a search to trace the accused for further investigation.
