A 22-year-old law student died after battling for life for three days after she was allegedly stabbed by the brother of her former boyfriend for rejecting his advances succumbed later.The JB Nagar Police have arrested both the accused.
The victim,Amrutha,succumbed to her injuries on tuesday evening while undergoing treatment at a hospital.The attack took place on July 13 near her house in Kodihalli.

Senior officer told reporters that Amrutha and Dhanush knew each other through their families after meeting during Om Shakti Mala religious gatherings.The two later entered into a relationship.
Investigators said Dhanush had allegedly concealed the fact that he had been married earlier,was divorced,and had a child.After learning about his past,Amrutha ended the relationship.
Police said Dhanush’s brother,Surya,had allegedly threatened that he would not spare Amrutha for rejecting his brother.
On the evening of July 13,Surya allegedly confronted her near her residence and stabbed her in the chest and back following an argument.
Amrutha,who was also working at a pizza outlet while pursuing her law studies,was rushed to hospital but succumbed to her injuries on July 15 despite treatment.
The Jeevan Bheemanagar Police have arrested both Surya,the alleged assailant,and Dhanush,and registered an FIR against them.
The victim’s body has been shifted to C.V.Raman Hospital for post-mortem examination. Police are continuing their investigation into the case.
