The incident occurred on July 14 under the jurisdiction of the Jnanabharathi Police Station.

According to a preliminary police inquiry and the complaint lodged by the boy’s parents, the student was allegedly punished by his class teacher,Vijayashree, who reportedly made him stand outside the classroom from morning until evening following a minor incident involving students.
The parents alleged that the prolonged punishment caused severe emotional distress to the child. After returning home, the boy allegedly attempted suicide.
The family has sought legal action against the teacher, alleging that the punishment had a serious psychological impact on the child and drove him to take the extreme step.
Jnanabharathi police said a formal case has not yet been registered.”We will take action once a complaint is formally registered. As of now, the boy appears to be stable,”a senior officer said.
Police said they are verifying the allegations and will initiate appropriate legal action based on the complaint and the outcome of the investigation.
