Major Bus Accident Between BMTC And Vayu Vajra Buses In KR Circle, Passenger Injured;Driver Seriously Injured

A major accident involving two BMTC buses occurred near KR Circle in Bengaluru on Saturday,leaving the driver of an electric bus seriously injured and several passengers hurt.

According to preliminary information,a BMTC electric bus rammed into the rear of a Vayu Vajra airport bus that was stationary at a traffic signal.

The impact was so severe that the driver of the electric bus sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Several passengers seated in the front rows of the buses also suffered injuries.Some passengers reportedly had their legs trapped inside the damaged bus and had to be rescued.

Police and Fire and Emergency Services personnel launched a rescue operation at the scene.A crane was deployed to remove the damaged bus, while rescue efforts continued.

The accident caused heavy traffic congestion around KR Circle as emergency responders worked to clear the vehicles and assist the injured.

Police have begun an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
