Three Rowdy-Sheeters of KP Agrahara police station Sentenced to Life imprisonment in 2016 Bengaluru Murder Case

Three Rowdy-Sheeters have been convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for the 2016 murder of a man in the limits of the K.P.Agrahara police station in Bengaluru.

The convicted accused have been identified as Venkatesh alias Kappe,Nagaraj alias Karishma and Puneeth alias Kannuri,all rowdy-sheeters of K.P. Agrahara police station.

Senior officer told reporters that the trio murdered Nagaraj on March 20, 2016,by attacking him with deadly weapons on the pretext of returning a loan.

Based on a complaint,K.P.Agrahara police registered a murder case and launched an investigation.

The investigating team,led by Police Inspector M.H. Umesh under the guidance of senior officers,collected witness statements,medical and scientific evidence before filing a charge sheet against the accused.

After a full-fledged trial,the court found the three accused guilty based on eye witness testimony,medical evidence and other scientific evidence,and sentenced them to life imprisonment.

Senior police officers appreciated the efforts of investigating officer M.H.Umesh,Government Public Prosecutor K.Sharanabasappa,and the court staff for securing the conviction.
