75,487 Traffic E-Challan Cases Settled in Two Days Under 50% Fine Concession Scheme

A total of 75,487 pending traffic e-challan cases were settled across Karnataka between June 21 and June 22 under the State government’s recently announced 50 per cent fine concession scheme.

According to a press note issued by Bengaluru Traffic Police,an amount of Rs.2.24 crore was collected through various prescribed modes of payment during the two-day period.

The concession was granted through Government Order dated June 4, 2026,which provides a 50 per cent reduction in fines for pending traffic e-challan cases registered by the police department.The scheme came into effect on June 21, 2026.

Traffic police officials said the response from vehicle owners has been encouraging, resulting in the settlement of a large number of pending violations within the first two days of implementation.
