Delivery executive died after losing control of his scooter & crashed into electric pole in Banaswadi

A 19-year-old Swiggy delivery executive died after reportedly losing control of his scooter and crashed into an electric pole in Ramaswamipalya under Banaswadi Traffic police limits late Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Santosh Daniel,a resident of R S Palya.

Senior officer said Santosh,who also worked as a delivery executive while pursuing his degree,was riding the scooter around 1 am along with his friend Jeevitha (21) when the mishap occurred near RKV fruit shop on the main road.

According to preliminary information,the two were travelling at high speed when Santosh reportedly lost control of the scooter,causing it to skid and both riders to fall onto the road.

Passersby rushed them to a private hospital,where Santosh succumbed to injuries around 3.15 am.

Jeevitha sustained minor injuries and is out of danger. Banaswadi Traffic Police have registered a case and are investigating further circumstances surrounding the accident.

In another incident,a 46-year-old scooter rider was killed after a speeding Bolero goods vehicle collided with his two-wheeler on Karapanahalli Road in Hoskote.

The victim,zameer Pasha,a resident of Hoskote,was reportedly on his way to buy vegetables when the accident occurred on the Chintamani-Karapanahalli Road stretch.

The impact of the collision threw him off the scooter, resulting in fatal injuries.He died on the spot.Hoskote Traffic Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
