The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested two rowdy-sheeters, apprehended a long-absconding offender wanted in multiple criminal cases,
Acting on intelligence that several rowdy elements were allegedly stockpiling deadly weapons to commit crimes, officers of the CCB’s Organised Crime Wing (East) conducted surprise raids on the residences of more than 10 rowdy-sheeters on June 7.
During the operation,police arrested two absconding rowdy-sheeters identified as Puneeth S.V.and Shivakumar alias Auto Shiva,who were wanted in a case registered under the Arms Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Varthur Police Station.
The accused have been handed over to Varthur police for further legal action. No weapons were recovered during the raids.
Absconding Rowdy-Sheeter Held After Eight Years
In another operation,the CCB arrested Shahid Pasha alias Dakkar Shahid Bin Late Noor Khan,a Rowdy-Sheeter of K.G.Halli Police Station limits,who had allegedly been evading court proceedings and arrest warrants for nearly eight years.
Based on a tip-off received on June 5,CCB officers traced the accused to Vinobanagar and apprehended him. Police said Shahid is involved in more than 20 criminal cases registered across Bengaluru.
He had reportedly failed to appear before courts in at least three cases,leading to the issuance of proclamation and warrant orders.
He was subsequently handed over to K.G.Halli Police Station for further proceedings.
