A 36-year-old gig workers accused of stalking a minor girl was allegedly murdered by her father and his relatives, who later dumped the body in a storm water drain in North Bengaluru recently.
The Yelahanka police have arrested four accused in connection with the case.

The deceased has been identified as Ramesh,a native of Mudhol in Bagalkot district.
Senior officer told reporters that the Ramesh had recently come to Bengaluru and was working as a Rapido rider.
According to investigators,the victim had earlier been booked under the POCSO Act and other criminal charges for allegedly harassing the girl,who had studied at his relative’s house.He was arrested under POCSO case later released in bail.
Despite legal action and a jail term,Ramesh reportedly continued to pursue the girl and pressured her for marriage even though she was a minor.
The girl’s father,identified as Eerayya,had moved her to Bengaluru for higher studies and kept her at a relative’s house.
However,Ramesh tracked her down in the city and allegedly resumed stalking her.
Enraged by his continued harassment,Eerayya,along with his associates Chinnayya,Chetan and Charan,allegedly conspired to eliminate him.
As per the police,the accused befriended Ramesh and invited him for a drinking session.
They allegedly took him in a car to the Allalasandra area, where they consumed alcohol.
When Ramesh was in an inebriated state,the accused strangled him with a rope and dumped his body in a nearby storm water drain before fleeing the scene.
The crime came to light after passersby spotted the body and alerted the police.Initially cops registered as a case of suspicious death,the investigation later revealed it to be a murder.
Police tracked down the accused using CCTV footage and other technical evidence.All four have been taken into custody and are being interrogated.
