An Unidentified man aged around 30-years was charred to death in a school bus parked in OMBR layout in Banaswadi on Tuesday.
Passers-by noticed the fire in the bus and alerted the fire control room.The fire and emergency service personnel rushed to the spot and put out the fire before recovering the body.
The police rushed to the spot based on the information and found the man was charred to death while sleeping .
The police found bed and a pillow and few smoked beedis around the body.
The police have taken up a case of suspicious death and shifted the body for post-mortem .
Police suspect that the death due to due to accidental fire from the burning beedis.The police are also not ruling the possibility of foul play and initiated investigations to ascertain the identity of the deceased.
The police are verifying the CCTV footage from in and around to ascertain any foul play.
The bus belonging to Arun,and was parked on roadside after it was defunct for few months.The bus was 14 years old and did not have any documents or insurance . The owner was planning to sell the bus said a senior officer.
