Valedictory of Bidar Utsav-2023,Sanctioned filling of 36 tanks in Aurad Taluk-CM Bommai

The State government has sanctioned the Mehkar Lift Irrigation scheme in Bhalki taluk and filling up of 36 tanks for Rs.562 crore in Aurad taluk in Bidar district, and a foundation stone will be laid for the work soon, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking at the valedictory of Bidar Utsav-2023 here on Monday,he said the government is committed to the overall development of the Bidar district.

The first drip irrigation project in Basavakalyana on the lines of Madhyapradesh has been sanctioned.Besides, the project to provide basic facilities for the people of Mallamuri Upper Stream and Lower Stream and Karanja backwaters is also sanctioned.

Summit of industrialists in Bidar district

The CM said two cooperative sugar mills in Bidar district have been helped and industries come in more numbers to the district.Industries that came initially are not functioning fully.So,a summit of industrialists will help the industrial growth of Bidar.

The district is historic and situated on the border area. The forts and the Anubhava Mantapa started by 12th-century social reformer Basavanna have made this place significant.

People of all religions are living peacefully.The religious centers of the Sikh community have made this district very unique.

Good response

Bommai said the Bidar Utsav got a good response from the people and such utsavs must be held to protect the history and heritage of this place.This festival has spread the message ‘all are one’.

It also provided a forum for the local artists as well as the artists from across the country to enthrall the audience.

The CM also released a souvenir brought out on the occasion of Bidar Utsav-2023.Union Minister for Renewable Energy,Chemicals & Fertilisers Bhagwant Khuba, Sugar & Textile and Bidar District-In-Charge Minister Shankarpatil Munenkoppa,MLAs Eshwar Khandre,Sharanu Salagar,Shashil Namoshi and Maratha Communities Development Corporation Chairman M.H.Mule were present.
