Resolve TDR Issues Related to Road Widening: Maheshwar Rao

BBMP Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao directed officials to resolve the issues related to TDR concerning road widening projects and to expedite land acquisition for completing the ongoing infrastructure works.

While speaking at a progress review meeting held today at the BBMP headquarters regarding projects undertaken by the city’s Road Infrastructure Department he emphasized expediting ongoing infrastructure works.

Out of the 16 ongoing road widening projects in the city, work has been fully completed on 2 roads.For the remaining roads, where TDR-related issues persist,the Chief Commissioner instructed officials to hold discussions with property owners and resolve the disputes promptly.

He also directed officials to submit comprehensive information on how many properties have already been issued TDR,how many more need to be acquired,and the estimated expenditure required to complete the remaining acquisitions.

*Action Plan for Junction Development:

The Chief Commissioner further instructed that a holistic approach be adopted for the development of traffic junctions in the city.The aim is to ensure smooth vehicular and pedestrian movement by designing and implementing junction improvements within a fixed timeline.

*Accelerate High-Density Corridor Projects:

He also emphasized the need to speed up the ongoing High-Density Corridor (HDC) projects on the city’s outer ring roads.These projects are currently in progress,and officials were urged to ensure their timely completion.

The meeting was attended by Special Commissioners Karegowda and Dr.K.Harish Kumar,Chief Engineer Lokesh,Superintendent Engineer,Hemalatha, Executive Engineers,and other officials.
