he Adugodi police have arrested a 25-year-old man for threatening a shopkeeper with a dagger to extort a cigarette pack and match box from him on Koramangala 80 feet road on Tuesday night .
A CCTV had recorded the entire event which went viral on social media prompting the police to swung into action and track down the accused .
The video showed the accused Goutham Nagaraj arguing with the shopkeeper pulled out a dagger and threatened him with dire consequences before walking away with the cigarette pack and match box.
The shopkeeper told the police that the accused had even demanded money .
Based on the statement, the police arrested the accused on the charges of section 25 (Act not intended and not known to be likely to cause death or grievous hurt) of BNS and also under various sections of Arms Act and remanded to judicial custody.
