Team gets tip about duo being in Jnanabharathi area.

These two men were wanted in five Police Stations across city.
They targeted gullible woman on roads.
They had become a headache to the cops.
CCTV clips across the city had one thing common is pulsar bike as their getaway vehicle with the vehicle bearing number KA-14-V-8777,
In a joint operation by west division cops nabbed a notorious chain snatcher was shot at his leg and nabbed by the Chandra Layout police near Chikkabasthi under jnanabharathi Police station limits.After he attacked police personnel in a bid to escape.
The incident took place on Saturday evening near Chikkabasthi under jnanabharathi police Station limits.
The accused has been identified as Shakir Yasin and his associate as Mohammed Danish both resident of muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh.
Senior police officer told media persons that as there were series of chain snatching incidents were reported in west division a special team got a tip off that a vehicle bearing number KA-14-V-8777 is passing towards Vishweshwaraya layout immediately a team headed by Sub Inspector Santhosh G and his crime staff rushed to spot and the cops spotted the pulsar bike as they flagged down the culprits did not stop the bike and fled at the spot then our team gave a chase to him and zeroed in them and the sub inspector fired one round in air and asked him to surrender but he dint heed to it and when our ASI Kalegowda of Chandra Layout tried to arrest him he attacked our ASI with sharp weapon and when he again tried to attack other policemen the sub inspector Santhosh in a self defence opened fire and shot at Yasin’s leg and injured him and other accused identified as Mohammed Danish getting fear of getting shot he fell down and surrendered to the cops both Yasin and Kalegowda were rushed to the hospital he added.
DCP West,Ravi.D.Channannavar,told media persons that,A special team consisting of ACP Kengerigate Manjunath and Police inspector Kengeri Police station,jnanabharathi Police station,Annapoorneshwarinagar station and chandra layout police Station was deployed to investigate chain snatching cases.We had ordered to nab those involved after watching a CCTV clip in a previous incident of chain snatching our officers followed a man near Chikkabasthi in Vishweshwaraya layout under jnanabharathi police station limits.When our officers tried to apprehend him he tried to assault them.Even after being repeatedly asked to surrender he didn’t listen we fired a gunshot in the air.Even then he didn’t surrender and instead attacked our ASI Kalappa of Chandra Layout and in self defence we fired at him and arrested him.He is now set for interrogation he had been a wanted a chain snatcher in Siddapura,Rajajinagar,Chandra Layout,Annapoorneshwarinagar,
