he HAL police on Sunday arrested a 23-year-old cab driver for assaulting a bike rider over road rage at Kundalahalli gate on February 1.
One of the motorists had recorded the incident on the mobile phone and posted it on social media which went viral,prompting the HAL police to take up a suo-motu case and track down the accused.
The accused has been identified as Rakesh Narasareddy,working as cab driver for a private company was returning home from work on his bike.
Due to heavy rush his bike brushed with another bike at the Kundanahalli gate during huge rush.
The accused along with another passers-by dragged the motorcycle rider and assaulted him black and blue , creating panic situation among the other motorists .
The police have now charged Rakesh under wrongful restrain, assault and criminal intimidation while efforts are on to trace the victim to record his statement said a senior officer.
