Praveen Nettaru murder case: Three among former district secretary of PFI in Mysuru held after NIA raids 5 places in Karnataka

ontinuing investigation into the BJP youth wing leader, Praveen Nettaru murder case,officials of National Investigation Agency carried out searches at multiple locations and arrests 3 people in Bengaluru and Dakshina Kannada District on Saturday.

According to an official release,searches were conducted at five locations in Karnataka State in the districts of Dakshina Kannada,Hubli and Mysuru.

Praveen Nettaru,a resident of Bellare and District Secretary of BJP Yuva Morcha,was murdered with sharp weapons,by cadres of Popular Front of India (PFI),on July,to strike terror among the people of society.

The case was initially registered at Bellare police station in,Dakshina Kannada and taken over by NIA on August 4.

During the searches conducted today, digital devices and incriminating documents were seized from the houses of accused and suspects.

Three accused were arrested for their active involvement in the conspiracy hatched to murder Praveen Nettaru.

The accused have been identified as K Mahammad Iqbal,resident of Kunha Gudde,Bellare village,Sullia Taluk,Dakshina Kannada,

K Ismail Shafi,resident of Shafi Apartment,Bellare village,Sullia Taluk,Dakshina Kannada and Ibrahim Sha,Resident of Gandhinagar,Navoor,Kasaba village,Sullia.

So far,10 accused persons have been arrested in this case.

NIA has also declared a reward against 4 absconding accused persons in this case and efforts to arrest them continue. Further investigations in the case are in progress.
