he Central Crime Branch officials on Saturday arrested a punter running online cricket betting racket and recovered cash Rs 3.06 lakh from them.
The accused was waiting at the corner of a house in Deepanjali Nagar in Byataraynapura to handover the winning amount to the punters when the police based on a tip off rushed to the spot and arrested him.
The accused had organized betting for the India Australia T-20 matched held on September 23 and was waiting for the punters to give them whoever won the bet and collect money from then whoever lose .
The police recovered Rs.3.06 lakh from him for further investigation.
